Three Cups of Tea

This is my last blog. This topic is about a book that  I want to recommend its name is "Three Cups of Tea". This book was part of my assignments in mi R&w class and is a bestseller. I try to give you a little resume about the story. Three Cups of Tea tells us the history of  Greg Mortenson who is a climber. He was returning from a failed attempt to reach the K2 summit. Exhausted and disoriented, he turned away from his group and he lost in one of the most desolate areas of northern Pakistan. Alone and without food, water and warm clothes, he suddenly found himself in a poor Pakistani village, where he was cared for until his recovery.

As he recovered, he watched as the  children of the village studied their lessons in the worst conditions they didn't have a school, chairs, nothing! They are by writing with a stick on the ground. The village was so poor that anybody could pay nothing. Before returning home, Mortenson promised to return and build a school. From that promise was born one of the most incredible humanitarian campaigns in history: the one-man mission to fight against extremism and terrorism by building schools.

I really liked this book and I recommend you totally. 

Christmas is comming!!

My favorite holiday is Christmas.. and it is coming!! In my country we celebrate with a lot of food, gifts and fireworks the December 24 at midnight (first hour December 25). Our dinner starts  is between 10 pm and 12:00 (midnight).

In my case my celebration starts 1 month before. I'm really excited when I go shopping for decorate my Christmas tree. Each year I buy different stuff for it and I am really happy. For another hand, one week before, I go to buy all the ingredients for the dinner. I usually make the dinner. I love it do it!!I 

I usually prepare for appetizer carrot cake, corn cake with cheese, fruits, and fondue. For the entrees always turkey (it is special) and pork and sometimes leg of ham glazed.. all are delicious!! This is my second time I will not stay in Christmas in my country, sometimes I feel melancholic but I really like is holiday! This year I will celebrate with my friends. I try to continue my tradition in make a special dinner, celebrate in midnight and give gift for everyone!!

 

      

Marriege after die

All us have heard about weird marriages. Exist people who married with Eiffel Tower, with their pillow, with their grandmother and for more incredible to seem have a men who married with himself!! Here i will tell about another weird marriage.

Magali Jaskiewicz and Jonathan George a couple from France who had planned to marry, but unfortunately he was murdered two days before the ceremony. The bride contacted a lawyer who help she finding the way for that she will be able to married with her died groom. The attorney found a French civil code that allows posthumous marriage if  they were completed all the documents for the wedding before one of the them die.

Actually I don't against to weird marriages. I think all people have a different feelings and we need to respect their decisions. Finally the love is love.. I know many people choose the love in different ways but finally is love.. all is depend how you want to see that.

The March of The Emperor Penguin & Ecotourism?

In 2005 scientists from French filmed a wonderful documentary in Antarctica " called The March of The Emperor Penguin" and tell us a story about bravery, sacrifice and love. At the end of each Antarctic summer, the emperor penguins has a do or die journey with a fascinating  ritual. The journey is across 150 kilometers in extremely weather until -40 degrees. The emperor penguin is the unique animal be able do this kind the adventure because their reproduction are in this extremely conditions. 

Antarctica is like a sanctuary because of many animal and their survival in this world. Now, how about "Ecotourism"? Antarctica don't have government, only scientific who are finding conserve in different ways the environment. In a place where don't exist laws and anybody is responsible is convenient the Ecotourism?  

Machu Picchu, Cuzco, Peru

When people from others countries ask me, Where are you from? (I am from Peru), sometimes they don't know where's Peru, but when I say Machu Picchu immediately they recognize Peru. Machu Picchu was City of Incas is located in the Andes Mountains in the Urubamba River Valley. The city was building in the 15th century, after that was abandoned. In 1911 an American Historian Hiram Bingham discovered "The Lost City of Incas". In 1981 Machu Picchu was declared Historical Sanctuary and Word Heritage for UNESCO. Now Machu Picchu is one f the New Seven Wonder of the world. 

Why Machu Picchu how tourist destiny? First all, Cuzco was the Capital of The Inca Empire. You will find history and a beautiful city. Also, yo will find other places in The Sacred Valley; Ollantaytambo and Pisac are two of them. For another hand, the trip is really wonderful. If you want to go Machu Picchu you need to arrive to Cuzco, after you need take a train and landscape is amazing.. You must not lose that! The train arrive in Aguas Calientes that is a little and magical city. There are many hotels and restaurants where you will find typical food.

For all the reasons, history, beauty, magic, delicious food and many things for do Cuzco is your best option to go. 

Languages!!

The language around the world are very important for our communication, English, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, don't matter what is your home language, all are important for our communication and knowledge. It's estimated more than 6,000 kind of languages speak around the world. But, if I will be able to choose one... which one? It's a hard question! My home language is Spanish and now I speak English. I think my third language could be French. Why French? Because no only in France speak this language, other countries in Europe too; Canada has important cities where French is a official language. Also,some countries in Centre America and Africa speak French and I can have more options understand for more people around the world.

Actually, I want to learn a lot of language!! Japanese and Chinese language are very interesting for me, because it's totally different, no only the pronunciation also the font of letters, they are beautiful. All the time when I see to my classmates writing in Japanese or Chinese I think it is really art!!

Can Money buy Happiness?

One day I imagined How will be my life if I win the lottery? I'll be happy?. Actually, if someone has a lot of money for my is a big responsibility. Why? I think if the life give you the opportunity to be rich, the only way to say "Thanks Universe" is sharing. This doesn't mean giving away your money, this is a easy way!!

If I imagine what will I do if I win the lottery? The first word in my mind is BUY... Buy a big house, expensive cars, buy other house in the mountains, apartment in the beach in other country, buy tickets for travel to Europe, Asia, Africa (safary), and maybe to moon.... because I'm millionaire!!

However, after all my buys, my travels, an so on... I'll be happy? Maybe Yes!!, But I thing I will try to share with other people. This world has many people with incurable diseases and they need money for buy a expensive treatment. If I'm millionaire I can make a company for help to this kind the people or a kids with cancer. The money will be able to help you and other people if you know to use it in the correct way!!
